Here is some pics of some of the local buses, and one that goes up to Davids territory in the newcastle area.

They are run by mainly stagecoach, and the 685 is run by stagecoach and arriva shared.

If you have the right driver on B10's it can be a laugh since they have a lot of welly. DARTS are just quick (well in my area they are). BARBIES on the other hand - well you can tell when it is a full bus!

This one above is personally one of my most favorite buses, I would die to see this remade for OMSI, then again any of the buses I'm posting I would love to see in OMSI.

And just to clarify, none of these are my own photos.

Lovely pics!

I like the old 685 that cmdrmonty posted ;) for the benefit of Newcastle Pro users, this bus starts in the Cumrian town of Carlisle and travels west to east, to Newcastle. The last fifth of the route is the same as the X83 as featured in Newcy Pro. :)

I'm still here, but taking a back seat, due to real life workload, and Mr Drive is doing a great job of managing the forum. smile.png

In The Hague we have two major bus companies. HTM (for local transport) and Veolia (for interlocal transport) Bothmake heavy use of the Man Lion's City gas bus. But the HTM has some more busses in their depot. One of them, a Berkhof, (first picture) is the most ugly bus ever drived around here!

Wow, that's what I call narrow roads! :)
Is "Ystradgynlais" a Welsh word? Very interesting.
Cheers!

Yep! This is actually on "Allt-y-Grug Road" in "Ystalyfera" (Ystradgynlais is the nearby town - this is a "local service" and a circular).

Our routes 8/9/10 are actually considerably tighter than this, and the back of the bus also grounds on them (the service cycle that the other one does). These two new (almost new) buses are 8.8m long and 2.44m wide, but have an awful steering lock compared to the old buses they are replacing (these new ones are also 0.3m longer).

Hmm, so I had to go out today to pick up a new vehicle, and while I was out I attempted to take some snaps of the local buses in my area.

The bus pictured here is an New Flyer D40LFs

These aren't the greatest shots I've ever taken but, they'll do until I can get closer to them.
