I love what Shade does for FSX, but I can't get my head around the use of days. My questions all revolve around this. If I load a preset into day 1, is that the day that is injected into FSX? How about if I load a preset into day 4, will that appear now, or does it not until a certain day or month arrives? If I want to change presets each time I fly, do I always select day 1, or should I choose other days? For such an excellent program, I feel like I'm learning a foreign language. :hmm:

Fire up the gui and load a different preset into each day then take a look at this post on the blog for a link to some FSX save files

http://shadeforfsx.b...cles-saves.html

and this post for some more info on the cycle

http://shadeforfsx.b...day-cycles.html

basically you can have 10 different days of lighting that will change based upon the day you are flying on it doesnt matter what texture sets you are using default/fex/rex

but if using no env addons your dusk/dawn sky colours will change in a 10 day loop, but if your using FEX/REX you'll have only 1 set of sky colours but you can still use shade to change the lighting on all 10 days,if you just want it to be the same then load a preset into day1 and clone it to days 2-10,or if you want to have diffrent lighting on each day of the 10 day cycle then load a different preset into each day and use the info/save on the blog posts to find what day you'll be flying on

Hope that helps

Steve

I'll make up some kind of calendar of word doc for day cycle for the next 12 months when i get the chance

Hey Curt

NP i can sometime have a problem getting this stuff over clearly as i suffer from dyslexia,if i told you face to face you'ed get it first time but putting stuff down in txt can be a little difficult for me
i'll try and get some shade flow videos made up (these will also help when it goes to Europe via Simmarket)
