OZx Installation Procedure

For the complete OZx install lets break it down into stages.

1. Things you must have for OZx to appear as designed.

Orbx Australia Region

FTX AU Holgermesh - found here https://www.fullterrain.com/freeware

2. Download OZx installation files.

OZx 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4,

OZx lib 1.0, lib 1.1

Other scenery not yet included in a main installer are

Balgo Hill

Fitzroy Crossing

Torres Strait Islands

3. Install OZx files.

Extract each exe file from within all the zip files into a temp folder.

Run OZx exe files in this order. 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4

Run OZx lib exe files in this order. 1.0, 1.1

4. Enable OZx in FSX

Ensure FTX Central is set to Australia (Oceania)

Start FSX and click the settings button and then the Scenery Library button

Check that the library list does not already contain OZx_AUS and OZx_LIB entries from any previous installation. If they are present you are finished with this section.

Click 'add area' button, scroll down the list of folders under your FSX main folder and find the 'OZx' folder. Double click the OZx folder and you will see OZX_AUS and OZX_LIB folders.

Select OZx_AUS and click on the OK button. If you are using Windows 7 you will now need to click on the white area below the texture and scenery folders.

Click 'add area' button again and select OZx_LIB and click on the OK button. Do the same as above if using Windows 7.

You should now have 2 entries in the FSX scenery library for OZx.

Click the OK button and FSX will rebuild the library.

Your OZx installation is now complete and ready to enjoy.

Open windows explorer and navigate to your FSX main folder/OZx/User_Docs folder.

Here you will find all the manuals and advice about using OZx scenery.

If you use Google earth you will find in the Maps folder many kmz files. OZx 3.3 is the latest overall one, plus add 3.4.
