Grass textures question

I hope i describe this correctly.....

I am trying to improve a scenery i have made......

I would like to have better grass textures in the scenery, the scenery is photoreal, but the grass looks very bland.....

Is their something i can change to improve the looks of the grass areas.....

Hi Craig,

This may not be exactly what you're looking for, but,

I have previously downloaded a grass texture file from REX, which is freeware, only it acts like a global ground texture, so any runways etc that don't have their own ground poly will have a grass texture overlaying the asphalt (texture only, not colour). It does look really good though from memory and would be ideal if you only, (or mostly) fly from grass strips.

Unfortunately I can't find a direct link to download the REX grass texture, but it should still be available from their site somewhere:
