My Best FSX Shots

Recommended Posts

Hey guys!

I Had some fun flying today with the Airhauler and FSCaptain Add-ons in Ultimate Alaska starting a new company. I was flying the awesome freeware Basler BT-67 and I started clicking away. After my flight, as I was going through my photos, I realized I have a bunch of (in my opinion) awesome screenshots, but I've never posted them to a forum of any sort. Kind of a waste, I thought. So here's the remedy to my situation. I'll post them here! Probably going to be an overly long post, so if that is un-acceptable, please let me know, moderators, and you can take down the topic. In an attempt to save some space, I just posted the links. Also hope that is okay. So, my apologies in advance if I'm breaking any forum rules, but here goes nothing! My best FSX screenshots! Oh, and one more thing guys, please feel free to share yours too. Some browsing of this forum and I've already seen some mind-blowing stuff!

My Cessna 337 Skymaster "Ace of Spades" somewhere over Washington state:

"Ace of Spades" again outside of Wasilla, and other various locations, Alaska:

And now, for a real classic: The Captain Sim 737-200. Featured over Washington in both passenger and freighter styles for my fictional airline "Red Bird Airlines" (pax) and Red Bird Air Cargo (Freight subsidiary...I'm captain obvious over here)

Off the wing leaving Seattle:

And finally the most recent series featuring my fictional company's Basler BT-67 "Turbo Snail" based out of Talkeetna Alaska in Airhauler's cargo company management add-on.

Carrying 5,230lbs of shoes to Farewell, Alaska

Enterting the mountain passes at 6,500 feet.

Couldn't expect beatiful clear skies for long in Alaska as some clouds and turbulence started to roll in:

Made it into Farewell pretty quickly. Winds were kind of cropping up to buffet the ol' DC-3 frame around a bit, causing me to correct and touchdown on the left main gear only. Good thing these birds are rugged!

Unloading a bunch of shoes on the greass at the nearest hangar, as Farewell's airstrip didn't have room for the big ol' "Turbo Snail"

Alright, so that's my excessively long post. Congratulations to all who survived to the end. You are troopers. Thanks! :pilot:

Hate to bump my own topic, but since converting to Direct X 10 preview mode inside FSX and applying all the necessary shader fixes and some other tweaks, I'm happy to say my frame rate, even in ORBX PNW and Ultimate Alaska has improved considerably. It's been over a month since I switched over my FSX, but I still can't get over the boost in frames. It's too bad Microsoft's default "preview" version was just that--a preview, half baked version of something that, had they spent some time on, or even patched, would've made everyone's FSX experience so much better.

Anyways, to my point. Because of my boost in frames I'm able to record with FRAPs and considering I just recently acquired AcuuFeel V2 and EZdok Camera, I thought I'd film the test. Here's what I came up with: Just a quick lap around ORBX's Bowerman Airfield (KHQM) in my favorite plane of all time: Caranedo's Cessna 337 Skymaster in my custom livery. Lemme know what you guys think! And please, be sure to share yours too!

Also, can anyone tell me what these are? This one was taken in Orbx's Pacific Northwest scenery in the area of Washington state, headed East/North East from Bowerman (KHQM) towards Friday Harbor (KFHR). I have read that Orbx's scenery is fairly accurate, and the screenshot I took does seem like that pattern in deliberate, but I'm also wondering if it's a weird glitch in my scenery. Is it a tree farm? I have never seen anything like it.

Thanks in Advance!
