Stinson Reliant VH-UXL - Home Base to Jandakot via the Darling Scarp

Recommended Posts

This paint featured in the Golden Age Simulations release resides in Mundijong which is just south of Perth, Western Australia.

This plane deserves its own airstrip at Mundijong which is about 12nm south of Jandakot airport.

Climbing out over Mundijong for the Darling Scarp.

Overflying Wungong Reservoir.

Showing a clean pair of heels.

Ok, time to turn west now we are at Armadale and head for Jandakot.

Turning for Jandakot over Forrestdale lake reporting point.

Inbound to to join overhead.

Turning downwind 06. Port of Fremantle on the right, with Rottnest Island in the distance. Woodman Pt, Henderson Shipyard reporting point and Garden island in the distance.

Turning base 06. Forrestdale lake straight ahead. Home strip at the foot of the Darling Scarp on the right edge of shot to the south.

Turning final 06.

Crabbing in with the north westerly kicking up.

Touchdown left wheel first and another good landing for VH-UXL.

Its a bit hard to see where to go. Tail dragger and a big fat radial sure makes things interesting.

Turning into the main apron in front of the Jandakot Royal Aero Club.

Check that out mate. Isn't it gorgeous?

Sure is a pretty plane.

Tell the girl in the window to swing the video camera around this way.

She seems to be too busy filming the lads.

Look how close we are. I love a good classic. Thanks Golden Age Simulations for this gem of a plane.
