It is proposed to spend the next few Fridays, exploring NZNI.
So unless there are many who don't have it yet, What I suggest is
a series of flights, start in the north and working our way south.
I have also invited anyone in the NZFF group, to join us if they wish.
I reckon it would be great to have some kiwis on the flight.
So the route.......
We will start at Kaitaia, and fly up to Cape Reinga following the 90 mile beach,
Then after overflying the lighthouses at Cape Maria Van Dieman, Reinga and North Cape,
track down the east coast for a landing at Kerikeri, over the Bay of Islands to finish at Whangarei.
Check it out on the GE KMZ file this is "scenery plus"
Look at a map of NZ, to see the area covered on this first flight.
As you may have realised by now, NZ is not as small as you may think, so a speedy single
(Bonanza) or twin (Baron) would be a good choice.
As always comments appreciated
cheers

Now that i read it I don,t understand it myself !!!
Well not really but............
The Google Earth(KMZ)file which comes with the NZNI scenery is found in
your root FSX directory, in the ORBX/user document folder.
For ease of access I have dragged it onto my desktop, so its readily available.
Ingnore the :scenery plus" comment, just my way of saying
that the scenery up here is pretty awesome !!
sorry for the confusion
cheers

Will do my best to "see" you on Friday nite.
On a side note, you might also care to look at the Vatpac site front page. Look for Vatpac World Discovery Flights.
1st flight under this banner is tomorrow night (1st August).
Do not be afraid of the "Vatpac" involvement as we are all like minded pilots of varying skills from novice to not quite novice.
All that is asked is that pilots familiarise themselves with the flight details so that they are ready when we all start and also that we are respectful
of the Vatsim code of conduct which is more a case of common sense and good pilot manners when on line.
It is not however a "newbie" training night as there are plenty of sites that can already accomodate that.

Thanks for the HU.
Bad experience with the software(FSinn/SB etc) back in the
days of FS9, has kept me away from this area of flying.
With FSX and a new system firing on Windows 7, maybe its
time to give it another try.
Cheers
