Hi folks,

I recently bought an iris F-15 E, (on the 18th to be exact), and I'm having trouble with it. So I go to the irissimulations.com website and click on the "forums" button and in turn, I get sent to OZx?!

In addition, the window that opens identifies itself as your website but then says that I can't get there from the link that I had clicked on. I assume they mean the iris simulations forum when they say "there".

Frankly, I'm not even sure why they sent me here in the first place and I assume that OZx either owns or is responsible in some way for their forums and even perhaps their airplanes. If not, please excuse my ignorance because I couldn't find anything about any iris products in your Forum's home page.

Can anyone shed any light on this site and get some help with this airplane?
Thank you, Rich

Hi Rich. You have missed the target by the tiniest of margins. If you scroll down the forum page you will get to the 3rd party support forums where you will find Iris support.

Cheers Trev

Thank You TreeTops! But I just went there and I must be doing something wrong. There is absolutely no Iris support in that 3rd party list that I have access to.

BTW, Does OZx own Iris now?

In fact, I have about 5 Iris planes and I had a qustion about the CJ27 not too long ago.

I did get help in some Iris Forum for that issue because I remembered choosing the specific plane in the list. I just don't remember how I did that and I don't see a list of planes that can be clicked on in order to get to that particular support page. I bet it's something I'm totally overlooking like I was blind.

But for the moment, I just don't see that Iris support link.

OZx does not own any of the 3rd party company, just host the forums. Hope this clears things up for you.

Thanks again Tree Tops but I just clicked on that link and got the same page I got when I clicked on the 'Forum' link located at Irissimulations.com!?

This is what it says. It seems I may be blocked for soem reason and I can't even imagine why if that's the case. I'm going to contact the administrator and find out what's going on. Thanks again.

Sorry, we couldn't find that!

Sorry to drop in here.

But it infact looks like Iris has left the building...... LOL!! From the the thrid party forum that is.

My only suggestion chirp65 is check out Iris's home page http://www.irissimul...ns.com/home.php

or.....?

On facebook. Just type in "Iris" in the search window of your facebook page and navigate to their support section. I found that i had to keep pressing enter to get the support section to load on facebook. It is not very user friendly.

Besides that io have no idea how to contact them.

Good luck.

Cheers.

Tim....

Thanks Timmy, but as I said, the Iris home page Forum Link sends me to the OZx site and the page opens as I've shown above in my earlier post. I may try the Facbook thing but I have already sent 2 emails using their 'support' links.

I'm preparing to contact the administrator but I had to rundown every one of my Order numbers for the Iris products I own. I want them to see that I have purchased at least 10 of their products so I may get a little quicker response.
Thanks again

IRIS asked me yesterday to take their forums away from general view, please contact IRIS for technical support via their facebook or email addresses.

No, I guess like a lot of developers out there, they are just tired of the continued onslaught of people who cannot behave in the forums, what I like to refer to as 'Keyboard Warriors'

Though it's understandable to some extent, it's simply a reality that everyone has to deal with. I think if they want to take that position that's fine providing they supply support for their products in a timely fashion, (I have 10 Iris products).

I'm not complaining right now because I e-mailed their support team late Friday night and I assume that they were out of the office and will be until Monday.

Therefore, I would expect to get an answer to my request by Tuesday evening. I think that's plenty reasonable time but it also means that I had to wait till Tuesday evening when I may have gotten the answer I needed in a forum which pretty much runs 24 hours a day.

There's nothing wrong with having a little understanding for companies that have problems like this so long as they keep their paying customers in mind.

Iris is a good company and has made some very good products but I get the feeling that they are understaffed and either can't hire more help or don't want any.

It's all to do with the profit at the end of the day and how much money they want to make as opposed to how much time they're willing to spend making it.

This is just my opinion for what it's worth and nothing more. They make good planes and that's a fact.
