Leyland Olympian (1986) Engine Sound Pack - For Dennis Dragon

This pack will give your DENNIS DRAGON the smoother, more modern engine sounds associated with the Leyland Olympian. Gone is the harsh screeching of the Dragon's original engine as the RPMs increase. Instead you have the smoother, more progressive sounds typical of the 3 speed automatic Olympians operated by a number of UK bus companies (including Newcastle Busways), in the mid to late 80s.

This mod changes the engine, transmission and retarder sounds on this bus. All other sounds (including the Dragon's excellent braking sounds) are retained.

NOTE:- It is essential that you BACK UP your Dennis Dragon's original 'Sound' folder, before installing this mod.

NOTE:- You must have the MAN Lion's City Addon Bus (either version) installed on your system, before installing this mod for the Dragon.

TO INSTALL:

Extract the ZIP, then run the installer and ensure that the file path (when prompted) is pointing at your OMSI 'ROOT' folder (NOT your Dragon's folder!).

Thanks.

Had a proper play with this now and I LOVE IT! I must admit to only being on a Leyland Olympian (We only had the Volvo ones around my area) once when I was about 6 but can remember it sounding roughly like it does with this mod :)

Thanks Chris. B)

The lower revs sounds give it a more laid back feel, and although it arguably feels a bit slower (psychologically) it also feels nicer to drive IMO. :)

I will work on a v2.0 that improves the initial braking sound (not the nice low speed braking sound), as it's coming in a bit fiery at the mo.

Sorry, I'm a bit short of time, but you can rename the engine RPM files to those of the SD85 and put them into the SD85 yourself. You need to rename the 'Idle', 'low', 'mid' and 'high' rpm files.
