Thnx Amy, downloaded version 2 earlier and just driven the 600. Was early at most stops, perhaps i should increase A1 traffic. Strangly i got stutters and lag an the scenery is not there yet!! Had a run up Yonge st but got bored going in a continious straight line. Love the intersections with the under and overpass's.

Can i make a suggestion, may be its my age or eyesight, but on approaching junctions i find i can't see the lights clearly until virtually at the junction, especially tbe larger junctionz on the map. Could you consider placing additonal lights back to back on the ligbt gantry? Tbat way we would see tbe lights clearer earlier, and if stood at tbe junction line we look at the lights opposite.

Another point which relates to all maps, as a bus and coach driver it is an important part of bus driving instruction to pull up as close to the kerb ( sidewalk ) as possible so passengers do not have a gap to sride over, so here in the uk all bus stops are on straight parts of the road, also due to safety for any raffic passing. I noticed tbe terminal stops to let passengers off are on the bend of the station which also has the chance of wheels catching the kerb, a cardinal sin over here in here in the uk, plus those moaning german passengers shout at us then...hahaha
look forward to the finished map, well done and good luck with exams and Omsi map making.

Hm, that is odd to get lag this early in map creation, but I guess my choice of bus would probably be the problem. Also, if you go about 10 kilometres further north of the Richmond Hill Centre terminal, the road will curve and the gradients will be more obvious, along with some lakes. Also, I can see about putting close side traffic lights for the intersections following the route. And to answer your final question, the Terminal is pretty temporary, but I will move the 600 terminal stop a little closer to the straighter parts of the terminal. The reason why I put that there was because the Viva Blue line is a very very busy route that the buses can't be late because of some silly 600 driver taking a 3-5 minute break at the terminal.

Don't worry about the lag i get, probably my pc. There is a couple of maps i can't run cos of lag an jumping buses.
We have layover bays here for drivers breaks, not allowed to hog or block a station stop.

I got some bad news to break. Due to a questionable home situation due to personal reasons, I may or may not be able to continue work on this map, and even then, Internet connection will be questionable. Due to such, I'm probably just going to make my "vacation" take about half a day for next week, while I use the evening to model and renovate the roads. I know some wouldn't mind waiting some more, but I've been bored lately since finishing all my exams, so modelling should steal some time.

But is that curve a terminus point, because if you follow the road further south there is another few bus stops, to which although this is a loop, may not necessarily dictate a terminal point. And if it is, it looks like a quiet estate anyway, which probably is usually ram packed full of cars in the morning and evening, potentially blocking the stop. During the day, I am sure very few residents would care if the bus had a break on this curve!

Cardinal sin in the test yes (although if you explain why you are doing it, because it may be the only option depending on the road conditions, they can let you off a wee bit, sometimes :)), but some roads and routes involve getting the kerb to get a bus around. Usually it is just lazy driving, but sometimes its a 'would you risk it for a biscuit' situation, if it could result in injury, damage or accidents by driving properly, or prevent all that by briefly mounting a kerb safely?

I have not download this map yet, mainly if I am honest, because I don't have much time - I am even struggling to find time to do bug tests a certain map beginning with V. But I wish you the best of luck, and if you are still going ahead with this project, and I get time in a few months, I will give it a spin!

Going a bit off topic, but I see you're in Warwickshire! Do you work for one of the local operators? If Stagecoach would be interested in what depot! Living in Daventry, going college in Leamington Spa and having a girlfriend in Birmingham, I frequent many routes such as the 65, 10, 86, 63, etc. Maybe I've met you in person XD

That's a shame :/ I hope you get your problems worked out, and we are all eagerly but patiently awaiting the completion of this map. Good luck with everything :)

As of late, Veolia transport has purchased a demo bus, Man Lion's City 3501. It has been said that this bus would provide a better comfort for the commuters, and is even rumoured to have 5% more space than the existing fleet of the NL 202. I got lucky a while a go and caught this very rare shot of 3501 exiting Finch terminal during heavy snow. As seen in this shot, Capacity is a major problem, because as Veolia Transport is making tremendous profits of this route, they have yet to begin the search for articulated buses. It has been rumoured that they may lease a couple of MAN NG272s from a couple of transit companies such as the BVG in Berlin, and maybe even in talks of borrowing and retrofitting a couple of Melbourne's NG272 fleet before a company will manufacture articulated buses to their fancy taste.

Don't worry, I'll do the Viva repaint for the Lion's City, and I will also create a YRT repaint for the NL202. These should take about an hour or so since the colours are fairly easy.

This project looks very promising! I'm a 3D artist myself, although I have done no work for OMSI I'm willing to help with scenery objects such as buildings etc. I've looked at the OMSI editor and it looks terrifying and I have neither the time or motivation to learn something like that, however I'm more that willing to help on such a great project like this!

I'd need some details on how the model has to be made? I'm guessing it would need to be very low poly by the looks of existing buildings, but if you are able to convert objects I can provide things in whatever format you need.

Just an offer!

All models have to be made according to the Omsi standards. The Omsi standards requires models to be done or exported in/to blender 2.49B, and then exported as an .x files. Thanks for the offer, but unless you are willing to help create a custom streetlight(s), I have nothing else for help to date, because all I'm going to do for the future weeks is redo the entire roads, before even remotely touching on buildings.

Today I begin adding intersections with left turn lanes. I may or may not be adding screenshots of these today. After I finish adding more intersection variations, I will begin redoing the entire road system except for the Yonge and Bernard portion which I am still waiting for, understanding that exams are finishing up/ already finished for the year.

And now I present my progress done for today which took me a lot of work because it was only when I was working on the last leg did I find out about the shortcuts of doing such tedious work.
Posted Image

Edit: AUGHHH!! Blender closed and I never had a chance to save!
Edit2: Well, with my newly discovered shortcuts, I recreated the final leg in less than 5 minutes!
