Its been a while since I posted one of these, and as such I thought I should bring something rather big for you guys to enjoy. I would like to apologize ahead of time that this map isn't what you'd call "Photogenic" so the screens aren't going to be the best. Anyways, let us begin!

Today's subject: Great Grundorf!

Posted Image
Anyone else notice the typo in the image?

What is 'Great Grundorf'?
Great Grundorf is another map that takes a M&R map and expands upon it. While the Original map, known simply as 'Grundorf' only consisted of one route, while Great Grundorf has added 7 more routes, on top of the original route. The expanded part of the map includes, a Bus Yard, Sea side area and an industrial area, just to name a few.

What makes it special?
There isn't a whole lot that makes Great Grundorf overly special, beyond expanding on a very basic map, though it does retain a lot of the basic parts of the map, allowing majority of users to still play the map at the same framerate as the original Grundorf map which is very acceptable.

Faults in this?
While there is nothing game breaking in this map there are some areas of inconsistencies, for example some roads don't match up well with other roads or intersections, however the car paths do line up, so one won't be seeing cars just disappearing randomly. Also by default majority of the passengers stand incorrectly at some of the bus stops, either facing away from the bus or facing across from the bus, but this again isn't game breaking.

Routes?

72: Grundorf Bay <=> Nottingham Court
73: Grundorf Bay <=> Bauernhof
73E: Grundorf Bay <=> Bauernhof
74: Sumputuous Estate <=> Bauernhof
75: Sumputuous Estate <=> Sumputuous Estate (Circular)
76: Bauernhof <=> Krankenhaus
77: Krankenhaus <=> Krankenhaus (Circular)
N73: Grundorf Bay <=> Krankenhaus

Custom Stuff, extra downloads?

None, all stock OMSI objects.

However I would recommend the following mods from our very own, Adrian:
Grundorf City Transport D92 Repaints & AI Traffic Pack
Grundorf City Transport NL202
Grundorf City Transport Static Vehicles Pack

Map Download Link: Link here

Please note that the following images may contain the above mods already installed as well as some personal alterations, by default the map won't contain the NL202, nor the repaints of both active and static buses.

And as always, Enjoy!

EDIT: Which would be better? This map, or waiting for Grundorf 2012?

Not a bad early map. The only thing I really didn't like about Great Grundorf was the ridiculous name "Sumptuous Estate"..... very silly name!

I'm still here, but taking a back seat, due to real life workload, and Mr Drive is doing a great job of managing the forum. smile.png

I think this has to do with the group being from Hong Kong, and trying to take a British/English twist on it... Could be wrong.

I like this map, and I played really much on this. But I hope that the team that made this map, will come out with V2 of the map.

Have a great 2013, everybody ! smile.png

New photos coming now and then...

You're probably right; but there is no place in England with a name like 'sumptuous estate' Posted Image ..... nor 'plush abbey', nor 'luxurious boulevard' Posted Image

Actually some places in HK seem to have names like that, as I could see a few while using Google Maps
Great one mate, I still have this map and I like it very much, somehow the hills and routes attract me very much, it's a great map developed within OMSI object limitations of that time.
Maybe the timetable was too relaxed for my taste, but this didn't ruin my enjoyment of it.

Nice!!

I once downloaded this one. I have the habbit to use the editor for a first look of a map, and this map didn't "survive" that action. Great Grundorf didn't feel real enough for me like all those other maps from the Far East. It feels like driving on a roller coaster. So it leaved my HD very soon.

Hmm I tried reinstalling this map again to see if it would work. Downloaded it from the 3dtrans studio site, the newest available version (I think 1.02) and I get the following:

-Error: 75-se-se, nr.56
-When I ticked 'show bus numbers only for this depot' on the default MAN buses, there were none to select. So, I deselected this and went onto the time table in the ALT menu. Got the bus numbers, but no tours. =/

Hmm, I only have the V1 copy, and I don't have that issue, likely they messed something up in the newer version, due tot that 75se se nr 56 is why you aren't getting any tours.
