Well, I've made good progress. I've finished the the photoreal (EDIT: I will be tweaking the PR more in response to Trev's tips), and have created a custom APX file for my airport. Now all that is left to do is to annotate the scenery with autogen, and add objects, buildings etc at the airport, testing it, and I think it will be ready then. Here are some shots of the finished PR. I think I got the blending right this time, yeah? I wanna know what you think. Is the blending good?
I also cut the PR coverage area, so that now the town isn't included. I was having some wierd texture problems, and for now i'm only allowed to use default autogen, which really won't belnd in with the surroundings.
Keep in mind it's my first scenery. I have no previous experience with making scenery, so nothing will be perfect Posted Image
Well, here are the shots-

Very nice so far Misha.
Comparing to Google Earth 2 things with the blend I notice.
The darker sections of the runways are a lovely chocolate colour but should be closer to a rich red.
The ridge runing down the east side has a magenta colour cast that should be vegetation type green.
Blending into the surrounds is pretty good. Just watch the roads mismatching.
Keep cracking away and you will do yourself proud.

Cheers Trev

Thanks guys!
Thanks for the tips Trev. About the runway being a chocolate colour, I think that's because I had ENB enabled when taking the shots. With ENB disabled, the runways do have a rich red colour.
You're right about the ridge though, i'll change that tommorrow and make it greener.

Good point about taking photos. Switch off all ENB/Shader type programs to give normal type views.
I do love that rich colour though. choc or red. Desert colours.
When working on that ridge, keep checking with google earth to get best results.

It's probably better to keep checking FSX not GE. I need the ridge the blend in as well, and imho, the colours shown in GE don't blend with the FTX terrain at all ;)

If you're referring to the buildings in the town, I didn't place those. I said in the post that I cut back the PR, so now it doesn't include the town. So the town with all the buildings in it are from the FTX AU scenery.

Thanks!
I won't be releasing it for beta testing soon. Only when the team and myself work out a plan, we will see what happens.

Hi. I just saw your other post regarding this airport. You've done an amazing job blending the photo scenery in to the surounds. I'm currently learning how to do this, with only a little success, but I'm learning. Yours is a great result, looking good!

This airfield has far progressed since I posted these shots. It should be out within the next week, I hope :)
