  1. I have Flightsim from 95 to 2004 and MS Combat Flight Simulator 2 (and FSX Deluxe Edition and Acceleration but not sure if I want to sell those) and would like you guys opinion/advice. Should I bundle them up and advertise them for sale as one package? and what would be a reasonable price to ask for them? I lost my job at the end of the financial year and have been unable to secure employment (too bloody old!! too much experience!!......get that would ya!!) so all my worldly possessions have been or are in the process of being sold so we can survive. I have posted here first before anywhere else, if anyone is interested in them let me know. Unfortunately because of the postage cost, these are being offered to resident Aussies, sorry guys. I have also got other FS stuff - CH Pro pedals, Saitek X52 joystick controllers, Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant - but postage on those would be a killer. Be ok for anyone in Perth as I will be in Perth probably week after next and could bring them down. If this post isn't allowed please delete it. cheers, Javo
  2. The Russian balloonist Fedor Konyukhov is set to smash the world circumnavigation record set by the late Steve Fossett 14 years ago. Fedors balloon is now visible on flightradar24.com off the coast of Western Australia and looks like he will cross the coast near Mandurah (looking at his present track).

  4. News of TonyM's Passing

Thankyou Simon for your post and for posting the photos. It is amazing to realise (after seeing photos of Tony) that I had had an indepth conversation (at YPPH) with him about planes and aviation in general but never ever knew it was him that I was speaking to. He sure was a great bloke, interesting and he certainly knew what he was talking about.
  5. News of TonyM's Passing

holy shit!!! this is a HUGE shock, it has really knocked my sox's off!! Friday nights were Tony's nights running the club flights. Tony was a true gentleman and always made himself available to help the new comer or just help anyone that needed it. Condolences to Tony's family........clear skies mate!
  6. Farewell Jack

well i'll be buggered!! Sad news indeed, I never knew that grumpy old Jack had passed away. He was a great old bloke and I had shared a few laughs with him over the years. RIP Jack.
  7. Club Flight 19th Dec

geeez Tony, thats no place to be around Christmas time.....hope all is ok and that you can get home to enjoy Christmas with your family. Thinking of you at this time, all the best mate. cheers, Javo
  8. The largest condom factory in the United States burned down. President Obama was awakened at 4:00 a.m. by the Secretary of State on the telephone: "Sorry to bother you at this hour Sir, but this is an emergency! I've just received word that the Durex factory in Washington has burned to the ground. It is estimated that the entire USA supply of condoms will be used up by the end of the week." Obama: "Oh damn! The economy will never be able to cope with all those unwanted babies. We'll be ruined. We'll have to ship some in from Mexico." Secretary of State says, "Bad idea, Sir...The Mexicans will have a field day with this one. We'll be a laughing stock. What about Jamaica?" Obama: "Okay, good ieda. I'll call Portia Simpson Miller and tell her we need fifty million condoms, ten inches long and three inches thick. That way, they'll continue to respect us as Americans." Three days later, a delighted President Obama goes out to open the first of the 10,000 boxes that had just arrived. He found the condoms exactly as requested, 10 inches long and 3 inches thick... all with the black green and gold flag with small writing on each one: "MADE IN JAMAICA -- SIZE: SMALL"
  9. Leonora WA

sad to say that RWY 12/30 is natural dirt/gravel and was so as recent as Tuesday this week when I was there. RWY 22/04 is the only sealed runway at Leonora The ground imagery from Nearmap dated 2012-02-01 clearly shows that RWY 12/30 is natural dirt/gravel and that RWY 22/04 is sealed. Regardless, still looking good Wes
  10. Leonora WA

Looking good Wes. Rwy 12/30 is natural dirt/gravel though, not grey (cracker dust colour) as currently depicted.
  11. Yoke Rudder setup

I also have the Saitek yoke, pedals and throttle quadrants (as well as having Saitek X52 joy sticks)and have never had an ounce of trouble from them at all. They have had quite a hammering over the past few years and still perform like new. I have also had (and still have) the CH Pro gear but Saitek out shines CH by a country mile. Saitek quality is way above CH.
  12. Club Flight 28 OCT

Corrected the link for you Jorge..... here it is... ts3 overlay then go to settings>plugins and activate, instructions and overview in ts3 addons
  13. Langley Park(Perth) Flyin

geeez Trev, thought you were going to say it was Tony and you but I see it was just Tony and some other bloke. You had me worried there for a sec I forgot this event was on, would have been worth the drive down there to have a ganda and to see Matt Hall again......awesome what he can and can't do in a plane!
  14. SHADE in the Northern Territory

Awesome screenshots ClemWu, they really depict the outback as seen from the air in real life What is this 'SHADE' that you mention? Is it something new?
  15. Red Arrow crashes

Turn around is 3 years Hendo. Only three spots are available to join the team each year and each recruit, who joins for three years before returning to his squadron, must have 1,500 flying hours and be judged to be an “above average” pilot. They have no reserve pilots, as a spare pilot would not perform often enough to fly to the standard required. If one of the pilots is not able to fly, the team flies an eight-plane formation. However, if the Team Leader, “Red 1”, is unable to fly then the team does not display at all. Each pilot always flies the same position in a formation. cheers
