View File Manfred Jahn's C-47 USAF Brussels MAAG This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of Douglas C-47 42-100611, which was the personal aircraft of General Joe Stilwell in the China-Burma-India theatre of operations during WWII, served as transport for the Brussels Military Assistance Advisory Group in the 1950's and was based in Belgium. It was later sold to France, becoming F-BNFB, flew in Senegal as 6W-SAF, and returned to France as F-GEFU. It was later cut up, with the nose section being used during the filming of Band of Brothers. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Gordon Madison.     This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of Douglas C-47 42-100611, which was the personal aircraft of General Joe Stilwell in the China-Burma-India theatre of operations during WWII, served as transport for the Brussels Military Assistance Advisory Group in the 1950's and was based in Belgium.   5. View File A2A Lockheed Constellation MATS 48-609 This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Silver Lockheed L-049 Constellation. It shows USAAF C-121A 48-609, which was c/n 2601, one of the first batch of Constellation L-749's that went to the USAF as C-121's. 48-609 was delivered to the USAF MATS Atlantic Division on the 18th of January 1949. Her first assigment was to fly supplies in support of the air bridge to berlin, between Westover AFB and Frankfurt Rhein-Main. She was later converted to VC-121, with a luxury interior, flying VIPs all over the world.She was retired in 1968. She was bought by Christler Flying Service, registered as N9464 and converted for agricultural spraying. She later flew with Beaver Air Spray and Conifair as G-GXKO. In 1984, she was sold to John TRavolta for $150.000 and registered N494TW and stored at Santa Barbara. She was sold to Vern Raburn in 1987, who restored her and painted her in the scheme of this repaint. She was sold to United Technologies in 2005, who donated her to Korean Air. She is currently on static display at Jeju Island, Korea, painted in Air Korea colors. Two of her engines were used to make N749NL, the Constellation of the Aviodrome in the Netherlands fly again. Sold to Britair East Africa, owned by Captain Kozubski and operated for flights between Europe and Nairobi. G-AHEL was flown to Shannon, Ireland in May 1966 and broken up in 1968.     This folder contains a repaint for the Aerplane Heaven Hawker Typhoon in the colors of Typhoon MX999, a totally imaginary paintscheme. As far as I nknow, no Typhoon was ever painted in this scheme, but I thought it looked nice. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven. I have also included updates for two paints included in the original package, for the 245 and 440 squadron repaints. These updates remove the camouflage paint from one of the flaps. Just copy the texture.XXX folders to your AH Hakwer Typhoon folder, overwriting when asked.

Robbert 'Bergy' van Zinnicg Bergmann while 181 was based in Helmond, 1945. Van Zinnicq Bergmann was a cavalry officer at the start of the war who managed to escape to England, arriving there in 1942. He joined the RAF, flying Hurricanes, Spitfires and finally Typhoons, first with 181 and later with 182 squadron. He stated: 'for me, the Typhoon was love at first sight, of all the aircraft I had flown, this looked by far the most agressive'. His agression as a pilot earned him the DFC and a promotion to Flight Commander with 182 squadron. After the war, he became aide-de-camp to the Dutch Queen, in the end serving three queens as Lord Chamberlain. He died in 2004.. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aeroplane Heaven.
