G'day, I thought it was time to let you know about a Navigation list I have been working on. I am the owner of the FigAir multiplayer servers. I have made a list of instructions that will get you from one OZx airfield to another. Starting at Western Australia, it makes its way to South Australia then Victoria and Tasmania. I plan to write more through New South Wales and Queensland then over the top end as more OZx airfields are released. To get from one place to another you will need to know a little bit about navigating with VOR, DME and NDB, with a bit of dead reckoning thrown in. If you can enter a frequency into the nav radios and follow a VOR radial you will be well on your way. If you don?t know anything about that then I would suggest starting with some of the lessons in FSX which will give you enough knowledge to get started. Here is a sample of the instructions you will receive: Take off from Balladonia (YBAL) and fly East TO VOR/DME CAG(112.50). After passing take the 071 From radial to a DME of 81nm and land at Madura (YMAD). Total hop length = 175nm, 4000' dirt strip. Land and type "?hop" Or Take off from Healesville (YHSV) and fly a heading of 022. Tune Nav1 to VOR/DME ML (114.10) and intercept the 061 FROM Radial. Take the 061 FROM radial to a DME of 124nm. Land at Mount Hotham (YHOT). Total hop length = 105nm, 4700' asphalt strip. Land and type "?hop" Sound like fun? Come on over and give it a try. There are 85 hops made so far with more to follow. To connect to the FigAir servers you will need FSHostClient, have the necessary ports forwarded on your router/firewall. Connection IP is figs.hopto.org More info can be found at FigAir FigAir OZx Navigation Server Status can be found HERE
