  1. YZPO Trees on RW

where's yzpo, I can't find it in my install?
  2. Hey guys, great comments thanks, all the hard photo real work was Elias, he has done a great job - he may regret setting his computer back up when he finishes his move as I have a special favor to ask him that might add even more realism to Rays Field if it can be done - no promises or hints though in case it doesn't work out Got to love that Piper Sport, it looks immaculate and to find such a similar colour scheme in flight sim is fantastic. I will definately try to join in one of these days when I'm not working...
  3. looks like it was an enjoyable session
  4. RaysField

For those interested, Rays Field has been posted in the DOWNLOADS section, under the categories section go to staff scenery. Please enjoy.
  5. Moving interstate

good luck Elias, be careful of those wineries down there
  6. RaysField

thanks Ray, I've just sent you a PM asking for a bit of information. Hopefully it comes through ok. Cheers.
  7. RaysField

Ray - I understand the strip was Rays Field but did the property have a name?
  8. RaysField

Ray, just a quick update to let you know we haven't forgotten you. Work is ongoing Click on image to get fullsize. New England Highway heading south towards Allora - late afternoon. looking towards Clifton in the evening from the northeast.

A couple of animated gif's that will show the progress of the landclass work. I haven't zoomed in as it is more the general surrounds that you will notice. Both Allora and Clifton have been changed from all rural acreage type depiction to proper house blocks (within the limits of the landclass textures available). First image should be looking back towards Allora with before and after shots, second image should be looking westward towards Clifton and you should see the sweeps of pasture and grass being more predominant. There is still a fair bit of rural and bush that needs to be removed when I get a chance.

Hi Jay, been awhile I'm fine thanks - just getting older... Ray, hope it works out well for you. Unfortunately with landclass there is only so much you can do as you are extremely limited with the type of tiles you can lay in any specific area. At least we can make it look a lot more representative than what exists at the moment. The real 'artistic' work is the photoreal and object creation that Elias is doing, that will make it feel like home On a side note, I will be heading past your old place this weekend as I am going down to Ballandean. My wife will probably wonder what I am smiling about as I look over the fields to where your airstrip used to be... Cheers, Baz.

A bit more work completed on Allora today. Took a flight from Warwick (YWCK) in the scout to visit Mark Lees original Allora farm strip and then back to get a bit of an idea what the landclass was looking like now. Hopefully start working on Clifton in the next day or so...
  12. RaysField

G'day Ray etal, I went to start my landclass work as promised only to find that Windows 10 won't compile my bgl's. So I have had to rebuild a Windows 7 machine to get some work done. Hopefully the images I am trying to upload will appear ok so you can see some of the work I have started. There should be a closeup shot of Allora as it stands in Orbx FTX which is basically some acreage lots, and then after a couple of seconds the image should change to show the town as I have rebuilt it and the start of the creek. The second image should show the surrounding area and you can get a good idea where the two Allora strips are that Mark Lee created in OZX v1. Elias, I'll send you a PM re seasons. Cheers, Baz. PS If the images don't change you can click on them to open and they should work properly then.

Hi all, Ray, I often drive down to Ballandean from home (north of Brissy) and most often go through MaMa Creek. I have often taken photos of your (or your neighbours) farm when all the sorghum? was in head. Beautiful area. I work as an ATC for 35 years and started my RA (flying jabirus) but never finished. I often wondered where that strip of yours was as I could see the windsock from the road but not the rwy. Elias et al. I will try to drag my old landclass files out and update the landclass around Allora and Clifton to help. I think originally it was hard to do those little towns in the OrbX landclass work as we had nothing that really worked well at representing them so the towns ended up looking like rural areas. I will also try to get Spring Creek in from the range down to Allora at least. From memory Mark Lee did two little strips around Allora which I couldn't find on m y quick cursory look just now but I see the photo bgl's are still in (at least) my OZx folder which is the one you guys just realeased. I am pretty sure that Ray's Field is just north of the Allora 2 strip (released in OZx v1). Maybe Ray knows who owned those strips and we could rename them in documentation? Cheers, Baz
  14. Ozx v3.5 possible bugs?

The SPE files prefixed Baz are files designed to work with Elias Smiths photoreal SPE aerodrome and give a more realistic impression of the surrounding landclass. I have also moved the default road that ran very close to the eastern threshold. I thought that Elias files were going to be included, but if they haven't they are available separately and I believe will be included in the future. So if you don't have any ES files for SPE you will see the default aerodrome and my landclass edits won't make much sense. Cheers, Baz.
