  1. OZx YCBP Coober Pedy

with talent like this there's no wonder you joined ORBX... keep it up mate, it looks stunning
  2. Lindeman Island thread

Sorry I haven't been able to upload the pictures today, hopefully I was going to remove some troubling autogen and flatten some of the nearby lagoons but for some reason the Annotator didn't let me "Set GUID". I'll explain tomorrow.
  3. Lindeman Island thread

I'll be posting some new screenshots tomorrow, I'm sure everyone will be impressed. Frank
  4. Lindeman Island thread

Sorry to direct attention away from Rainey's Whitsundays thread, but I have finally learnt how to annotate autogen and have done so. Unfortunately the autogen annotator does not let you zoom in to specific places while annotating so that means some of my trees are a bit off from where they are supposed to be. Is there any way to get rid of these pesky trees, without having to start over again? Thanks. I'm not going to flatten the runway either, even though it is very bumpy, but real pictures of the airstrip indicate that it is like that, and goes uphill to the north.
  5. Daydream Island and the Whitsundays

Hmm, this makes me want to green up Lindeman Island. Great work mate.
  6. Daydream Island and the Whitsundays

Thanks for the help Rainey, I finally got to annotating autogen for my Lindeman Island project. good thing for us rotorheads is that there is a helipad on south molle island. I hope I am not going off topic but here is a picture of my updated lindeman island: FTXflyer generously modelled the "DANGER AIRSTRIP" sign for me.
  7. Daydream Island and the Whitsundays

thanks, but I cant seem to find the AutogenDescriptions.xml file. I can only find an AutogenDescriptions.spb file.
  8. Daydream Island and the Whitsundays

your work looks very good, I would like to complete my Lindeman island project if you could tell me how to annotate autogen. Thanks
  9. Daydream Island and the Whitsundays

It's looking bloody amazing (excuse my French). Funnily enough, I actually started on Daydream island a few months ago but I stopped doing it because I wanted to do the larger lindeman island instead. I ended up doing the Photoreal but got no further because I couldn't work out how to annotate autogen. So for now it's laying in my SbuilderX folder metaphorically gathering dust.
  10. I just popped in on this thread recently and, as a scenery developer, what does and increase in LOD do? Does it make the image more crisp or something? I was simply wondering, I may be able to take advantage of this tip given by FTXflyer.
  11. Retreival of Older Imagery - SbuilderX

Hey Jordan, how is your Townsville mountains scenery going too, by the way? Anyway, getting back on track, I'm afraid that this isn't possible. You see, SBuilderX does not get imagery from Google Earth. Instead, it will retrieve it from Google Maps where it is not possible to alter the time. Whatever changes go on in Google Maps will happen in SBX, too, no matter if the imagery is covered in cloud, etc. When Nearmap was free, I used to be able to download some of their imagery, load it up in SBX and enter the real-life coordinates-easy! But you'd have a hard time doing this by using Google Earth. Though I've heard of a Google Earth Downloader that will let you download imagery without all those Google Earth tools down the right side and the logos and copyright notices down the bottom. You'll have to research it but I don't know if you can load .kml files into it. (for example that stunning QldGlobe imagery you have there down the bottom) On the other hand you could alternatively use the "VirtualEarthSatellite" imagery. You can find it in the "Preferences" tab in SBuilderX. The imagery on there is the same as what you see in Bing Maps. Some of it is actually pretty good-including Ingham if I remember correctly. I'm planning on doing my hometown's airport with Bing Maps' imagery, since the Google source is terrible. Good luck, Frank
  12. Autogen Annotation-how?

Thanks. Am I allowed to use the ORBX autogen trees, by the way?
  13. Autogen Annotation-how?

Some of you may know that I'm developing an island for FSX at the moment-Lindeman Island-and I need to find out to annotate autogen because of it's sheer size. Could someone help me? That would be great. Frank
  14. OZx Scenery :: OZx AU 3.4 upgrade

Downloading now, I'm looking forward to flying around these wonderful airstrips. The downloads have really took off on this package, haven't they?
  15. OZx 3.4 preview shots

A wonderful effort from all of you! Northern Australia is getting more interesting to fly over, one airstrip at a time.
