  2. Excellent! Been pulling my hair out over not having Ant's Aussie Airfields, and was completely unable to add the scenery in Win 7. Thanks heaps!
  3. Err... Have I blundered? No-one else has trouble with knowing which airfields are lit? KQndege
  4. Hi, I love using all the OZx airfilelds, and Ant's Aussie Airfields (same as OZx? Not sure...). Maybe I haven't read enough, but I think it would be great to have a listing of all airfields with runway lighting, i.e. night-time operations. As we know, a lot of them aren't in the FSX database, so just parking a plane there at night to see if there are any lights, is pretty hard and tedious. I have an Excel of them, which I'm adding to as I get round, and for some of these I have the lighting info, but not all. Would love some help on this issue, Cheers, KQndege
  5. Thanks for the reply. I'm using an NVIDIA card with 1GB of RAM. My processor has 3GB of RAM, so I think there's plenty of firepower there. (The machine is a Dell Workstation). Good point about the resolution, but I'm afraid I'm not very techie: what's DDS compression?
  6. Thanks for your input. I tend to agree with you on flight profiles of Carenado aircraft - great looking, but I find the C206 flies too well even overloaded and you can't get it down and the C185 and Piper Saratoga way nose-heavy! Glad you've cleared up the DX10 - if FSX doesn't use it, then I don't have to worry about it. I find the default C208 Caravan flies fine and certainly has the 'feel' of the original, as I recall from a few real flights in the right-hand seat as a passenger. Happy flying!
  7. Hi. I'm new to this website, but have downloaded Ant's Aussie Airfields and the OZx scenery - awesome! I have a problem with Carenado's C208 Caravan (HD). I bought and installed it, but it drastically reduces frame rate for me. All other aircraft are fine, including a couple of older Carenado planes. I contacted Carenado and they suggested I need DirectX 10 to really make it work. As I understand it, you can't get DX10 for Windows XP, which leaves me a bit stranded, since I have a couple of programs on the computer which I use for my other job (when not running my own charter operation out of Tooradin!), and these programs won't run on Vista or W7. So I'm now wary - Flight 1 has a BN Islander I'd like to buy, but their ad says it's DX10 compatible - does this mean I'll have the same problem? Are all the virtual pilots who don't want to leave Windows XP going to be left behind on their options?
