View File A2A T-6 Texan VH-WWA Built in 1942, c/n 78-7094. Became 41-16716 then NC69367. Shipped and stored in South Africa. Obtained by the Paraguayan Air Force in 1979-80 and given the serial 0106. Withdrawn from use in 1988 and sold as N6069H in 1991 to Australia. First registered as VH-WWA in 1994. Please refer to the screenshot in the folder that contained this repaint for the correct canopy, spinner and antenna configuration. Repaint by Shaun Snyman. View File Manfred Jahn's Douglas C-47 V2 SAAF 6832 K-OD Built as a Douglas C-47A-75-DL at Oklahoma City plant in February 1945. Allocated U.S. S/N 42-108863 and delivered under lend/lease scheme to the RAF February 9, 1944, as KG443. Flown to South Africa February 26 1944. Received serial 6832 and served with No.28 Squadron 1945, 27 and 44 Squadrons 1946, 25 Squadron 1975-79. Finally with 35 Squadron at D.F. Malan/Ysterplaat, Cape Town and retired from service in 1992. In late December 1952, tasked to fly to Comoros to fetch a Coelacanth (34 hour/7000 Km journey), read story here: The Flight to fetch the second Coelacanth. Spared from being converted to a turboprop and taken on as a SAAF Museum piece at AFB Ysterplaat. Enjoy!
