  1. Colour Match

    How did you sort?
  2. Barimunya Project

Thanks Aussieman and Teecee, i do have that and will use it. However i'm in the process of learning how to use photoscenery and place that in the sim, mainly for runway, apron and surrounding textures. This is an all new process for me, instead of slapping a few objects at the airport which i was used to doing, so its taking a while in between work and the nagging wife. Please bear with me, might take a while but i want to get this, or at least as half as good as Flukey's. If i do that then i will be happy. Cheers, Andy.
  3. Barimunya Project

Yep still am, on my days off. Trying to work out Sim Director, it was all so easy creating scenery in FS9. But this is just so clunky, but i will persist.
  4. Barimunya Project

Hi Teecee. The mines are my favourite to visit as well. Based out of Perth now, still in the industry but did quite a few years FIFO out of various mine sites, and now love to fly there on the sim, drop off the miners and get the hell out of there! Used to create a lot of those airfields in FS9 and found it easy and fun. But this is a whole different ball game for me now. New programs to learn, its just all alien. It's taken me a while to get this far with Sketchup, found as i get older it takes longer for me to pick things up. If i can get this terminal into the sim and it works, then the motivation will get a boost and hopefully i can release my first ever contribution to the community. Andy.
  5. Good morning everyone. Just a brief background, i converted from FS9 to Prepar3d V4 (yes what a jump!), and used to create airfields from scratch in FS9, but had never attempted to create a model itself until now. This has been quite a steep learning curve, but one i'm sure will be rewarding once completed. In the screenshot you can see i'm creating Barimunya, an airfield i used to fly into quite regularly. I've created the terminal itself, or a rough interpretation of it, yet i'm having trouble converting it from Sketchup to Model X Converter. You can see the error messages coming up below, and it has me stumped. Is there anyone who can help me with this, so i can continue to create this airfield? I can send the .DAE and texture folder if that helps. Thanks. Andy.
  6. Oh damn i didn't know that. I was in the Navy when they introduced the Seahawks, and we did the trials using the RAST system. You know your getting old when they retire an aircraft type that was introduced when you were in.
  7. God Heaven, let there be a Perth!
  8. General repaints

I know what you mean Jeansy. Spent 3 and a half years up in Darwin with the RAAF, 2 of those at ATC. Loved the lifestyle, the build up was the worst part although the storms were amazing. Remember an aircraft penetrating a CB up there, still remember the callsign, KUZ, near on wrecked the thing. Miss it still.
  9. General repaints

I had to google that "CU in the NT" slogan on the Beech 1900D to see if that was for real. I can't believe they got away with that. What a classic!
  10. Pilbara Mines V2

Hey Flukey, what program do you use to build the custom objects, terminals etc? I've transferred over from FS9 where i used to create a lot of airports but never got into custom building of objects. Would like to give it a go. Great effort on these airfields by the way, have flown, and still do fly into these airfields regularly as i work in the industry based out of Perth. Cheers. Andy.
  11. Traffic

Ultimate Traffic Live seems to be what people are gravitating to. However its in beta, so i'm going to hang off. Speaking of traffic, i was looking at ORBX's freeware downloads and seen the "AI Traffic Australia and New Zealand". Andybody happen to get this working for Prepar3d v4?
