  1. I have made the following video which is a YouTube link only at the moment until I have obtained permission from Qantas to use the soundtrack from one of their commercials. Until I receive permission please do not post the link on other sites.
  2. Jetstar A320 - YBAS to YPDN - Part 1

Hey Scott, Beautiful screenshots! What clouds are you using? Thanks in advance, Norm
  3. New Australian Photoreal - NT

Hi, Scott has pretty well summed up the scenery. It is 15m Landsat 8 resampled to 12.5m, but safer to say 15m. I have ORBX ground textures and Alice Springs. I turn what ever I want to use on and off via the scenery library. NT is placed at a lower level that the airports and librarys. From the Imagery provider "..using new (2013-2016) satellite imagery. NextGen products are mosaics of multiple pan-sharpened Landsat 8 scenes that have been carefully processed and balanced to provide high quality color and contrast....100% "true color" imagery. This means it is built from Landsat 8's bands 4, 3 and 2 (which image in the red, green and blue wavelengths of light similar to those in which the human eye sees), along with the 15-meter band 8 for pan-sharpening. So the colors look truly natural (as you would see them from an airplane), .." I have purchased the imagery thus need to sell and hopefully recover funds to create more states. ORBX Alice Springs colour matches perfectly with the imagery as does Anthony's Tindal and Darwin. The scenery is prefect for cruising above mid altitudes where takeoff and landing are from detailed airports. The scenery does not take up a lot of HD space as does a higher resolution and is very friendly on Frame Rates. I have made a video with background music of a Qantas Television commercial. The video is on YouTube with a link only view. I have requested permission from Qantas to make the video public, it is link only at the moment. If anybody is interested in a preview of the vid send me a PM or email and I will send you a link to watch. Here is a video of a C-130 departing Darwin and cruising at 22,000ft south of Darwin. Towards the end I overfly Anthony's Tindal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rT58DxRBgIg&t=6s Cheers, gibo
  4. This is the MILVIZ P38 with VRS Tacpack over Scott's beautiful scenery of France. I have set up a railway map for use in [email protected] ccp and have a steam train that will travel along the "real" rail on the PR scenery. I was also going to use ccp to have landing craft heading to the beach at Normandy but the rail map caused hiccups in JOSM so I settled for a rail network around Calais. Here is the P38 firing at the train and a couple of targets. The train would not move and expel steam for some reason. I will have to sort that out later. Love the aircraft and the scenery!
  5. YRAY Rose Bay PR

    Wow. Looks good Scott.
  6. Fabulous X15

That second last (B&W) looks good!
  7. This is a fabulous freeware aircraft from France VFR over Scott's beautiful scenery of France. The camouflage blends in nicely against the scenery. Thanks again Scott. Cheers, gibo
  8. France Photoreal scenery

Thankyou Scott. That is a huge effort. Here is the Milviz P38 over the Normandy beaches Cheers, Norm
  9. France Photoreal scenery

Here is the Milviz P38 along the coast. This scenery is great for recreating some WW2 flights, especially using the adjoining MSE Scenery.
  10. France Photoreal scenery

Great job thankyou Scott. That is a huge undertaking, Cheers, gibo
  11. AI trains in FSX/P3d

I have purchased a low cost 3ds train and converted to a FS mdl file. I then added white steam effects to one setup and black to another and had up to 7 mixed steam effects trains travelling 7 different real worl rail routes. it works great. On photo scenery the trains follow the real rail lines. There are 3 stationary trains in this screenshot 2 trains are moving in this, 1 black steam and 1 white. Here is a train in SE England.
  12. AI trains in FSX/P3d

Hi Jethro, Tunnels would be out of the question I think?? Maybe the train may travel underground and resurface, hopefully. I originally intended to make a video along the lines of The Bridges of Toko-Ri so a train would have to be from that period. Cheers, gibo
  13. I have found a way to have AI trains follow a real world rail line in the sim by utilising Carrier and Convoy Planner (CCP) by [email protected] I extracted a rail network using JOSM and then changed the extracted Rail layer to a road then converted the file to a pbf map file. The train in the video is only a flat sim object for the test but I have purchased a train model and am in the process of converting to FS model. I had one carriage running along the track but need to lower the number of polys for it to work. The "trains" are following a real line on photo scenery, North Korea in the test.
