  2. Wanted to share some of our teaser video with you here at OZx. We're releasing CIRP on October 31st at Return to Misty Moorings. Brad
  3. Just wanted to let everyone that may be interested know, Return to Misty Moorings is now open! It's been three months of non-stop prep work for me and I hope it meets with the OZx community's approval. We have a long way to go before we get to your level of detail, because I feel that OZx is the sharp tip of the spear we're hoping to get too. If you'd like to contribute to the RTMM project, please feel free to do so. Maybe we can merge any OZx PFJ development into our RTMM pages for wide distribution?? Just a thought. Hope you like it. 6. Return to Misty Moorings Coming Soon

Sorry, wherever you think it should reside works for me.
  7. Greetings, Misty Moorings, Inc was a website that focused on flying in the FSAddon Scenery package for FS2004 called "Misty Fjords. We have put together a new site that we will be launching on the 29th of January. We are putting the finishing touches on it right now. It's name is "Return to Misty Moorings" and our new site is for FSX. It uses the ORBX Full Terrain Experience scenery called "Pacific Fjords" as it's base and uses freeware objects for the scenery design. We will be launching with over 30 scenery locations all with flight plans and what we call "Trip Tix" ... or wave top and tree top flying instructions guiding folks through the beautiful Misty Fjords. It's a fairly full service site, some fleet repaints (more to come later), a library of references on Misty Fjords (that we use for the flight seeing trips (Trip Tix). Full story lines for each of the locations ... a gallery and pictures of each location. Each location has a map and a flight plan. We have a forum where the site can be discussed, etc. We also have missions ready for the launch. As was the case with the older version of Misty Moorings,Inc ... the new "Return to Misty Moorings" is totally a FREEWARE site (we got the silver AA award the last time we tried this!). (http://www.mistymoorings.com <= that's the old site). Just our gift to our friends in the flightsim world. Be sure to stop by on the 29th for our "Opening" and let us know what you think about the new place. Sincerely, Doug Linn Misty Moorings, Inc Return to Misty Moorings Brad Allen Project Manager Return to Misty Moorings Misty's Place Ramp Nisga'a Glacial Lake Lucky Lindy's Place Cold Landing

  9. I'll say the same thing here that I posted on the ORBX forums. So sorry to see the images and news reports of the devastating flood's that are rampaging across NE Australia. I live in Central Florida and we have had hurricanes that are major threats to life and livelihood, I know how nature can change lives in an instant. But for all of my ORBX and OZx friends, I'm hopeful that all of the devastation and danger with the flooding that has come to your beautiful country, will not reach you and spare all of you any grief and hardship. Wishing my Aussie friends a quick end to this terrible destruction and I hope that when these floods end, and they will end, a fast recovery awaits all of you and your country. I love Australia and I hate seeing such a wonderful place being damaged. Let whoever you believe in, bring us all peace and sanity to our world and lives. God Bless, Brad
  10. Scenery anomaly in OZx 3.3

I've done no tweaking to my FSX in quite some time. The only addon's are the recent ones of mine and the ORBX PFJ and NRM packages. Nothing else. I'm current with OZx 3.3 and latest updates to libraries so, I'm stumped. I'll continue on and see if the problem persists elsewhere in OZx. ???? Brad
  11. Scenery anomaly in OZx 3.3

Okey Dokey!. Kind of a hassle since I have dozens of other third party stuff that won't show if OZx is above them. But, if I want to see OZx I have some scenery library mouse clicking ahead of me don't I? Thanks Uhu, Brad
  12. Scenery anomaly in OZx 3.3

Just making a continuation of my around the OZx world flight. This happened though and I've not come across this before. Took off from Warrnambool and heading to the coast, just as I get close to the town, the ground tiles turn to water. They were fine from the airport to the outskirts of town, then started this and disappear under my aircraft as I fly, then reappear as I fly on. They continue this pattern, disappear under the aircraft as I fly, then reappear after I get a certain distance away. Any ideas?? I've included a couple shots of my scenery library too. OZx is NOT at the top. Is that the issue? I'm using the ORBX FTX Central "Scenery insertion point" where any scenery I install goes above that. Like stuff I do for North America, etc. Thanks for any help, Brad
  13. File Name: Owikeno Lake (Version 1.1) File Submitter: Bradallen43 File Submitted: 27 Nov 2010 File Updated: 30 Nov 2010 File Category: User Scenery Brad's Pacific Northwest Scenery Project Owikeno Lake (V 1.1) Changes the North and South .bgl file names so they are no longer both named as "south". Created by Brad Allen ([email protected]) IMPORTANT!! There are TWO scenery packages included in this zipfile. Owikeno Lake North and Owikeno Lake South. Install each of these scenery areas as separate addons into your Addon Scenery folder in FSX. These scenery addon's are for use with Microsoft Flight Simulator X. I used the "Acceleration" edition for my work on these. The surrounding scenery this is designed to work with and fit in is the incredible ORBX "FTX NA Blue" package for the Pacific Northwest of North America. If you haven't got this scenery installed by ORBX, this file will probably not work for you. I repeat, this is not for default FSX terrain, this is for the above mentioned package from ORBX/FTX. There may be updates to this scenery at a later date. Stay tuned. Also please know that I am not affiliated in any way with ORBX and this scenery is not supported or endorsed by ORBX or OZx. If you have any issues using this file, send your support inquiries to my email and I'll try to help you sort them out. PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS SCENERY ON THE ORBX or OZx FORUMS!! However, I don't think they'll mind if you want to post screen shots there of my area. Notes about this scenery. (From Wikipedia) Owikeno Lake, (pron. "o we KEE no"), is a large fjord lake in the Central Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. It connects to the head of Rivers Inlet by the short Wannock River. The lake's name comes from the indigenous people of the region, the Wuikinuxv, whose settlements and territory lie around the lake. Designer Notes. This scenery is a real world location that has fictitious objects added. The runway surfaces appear in the ORBX/FTX PNW region but I added objects to "liven" up the destinations for pilots to visit. At Owikeno Lake North, you'll find a farm on the edge of the lake with a floatplane dock. The gravel runway surface at Owikeno Lake North is maintained by local indigenous people to support tourism. People interested in Fishing, hiking, camping, hunting, scientific research can all benefit by use of this airstrip. At Owikeno Lake South, you'll find logging operations and runway surface maintenance taking place. Hope you enjoy this destination. (old version had 210 downloads

The surrounding scenery this mission is designed to work with and fit in is the incredible ORBX "FTX NA Blue" package for the Pacific Northwest of North America. If you have any issues using this file, send your support inquiries to my email and I'll try to help you sort them out. PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY PROBLEMS WITH THIS MISSION ON THE ORBX or OZx FORUMS!! =============================== MISSION NOTES: This is a scenic flight or as FSX calls it, a mission. It's in the ORBX/FTX Pacific Northwest region of South Oregon. These ongoing missions in this series are in the Cascades Volcanic area and you will be flying in higher terrain areas. Use the "U" key on your keyboard to cycle the mission compass on/off. You will NOT have a large green rotating arrow pointer floating in the air ahead of you like some missions have. I disabled that during the design process. You will have a flight plan available on your GPS in the aircraft. You can use that as a back up to the mission compass that will appear at various times throughout the mission to help you navigate through the flight. You should be able to fly this mission using any SLOW moving aircraft you have in your hangar. Just make sure the "Enable Changes" tick box in the FSX main missions screen is selected. There are no rewards to lose for this mission. I used a Cessna 206 for my flight. If you use a faster aircraft like a Mooney, Baron or King Air, you'll probably not hit the way points as designed, voice prompts will be off, etc. Also, for some reason, I'm not able to get a "Mission Completed" message when I land at any grass airstrip. I just land, park, then shut the engine off. Hit the ESC key and then end the mission. I'm not that far into mission design yet to know why this is happening unless it has something to do with it being a uneven grass airstrip and the mission parameters won't recognize that as a valid landing site. No worries. My intentions aren't to reward the pilot with a medal or something like that, just engage the pilot with some information on the area they are flying my mission in. Some landmarks in the mission have information included about them that you may or may not find interesting. I hope it does interest you though and that you enjoy the scenery on this mission with a little more knowledge about it. Please send any feedback to my email. I hope you enjoy this mission.
