  4. Saitek Throttle problems

Treetops, Thank you so much! Spot on the money - all fixed! Really appreciate the help. I had a whole day immersed in flying FSX planned today. Spent all of it getting stuff working again. Oh well, time for a 1 hour fly before the other-half arrives home. again, thank you muchly
  5. I've been away on business for the last ten days and have come home to find my dedicated FSX computer has gone somewhat rouge on me. The main issue seems to be that it has lost all the settings for my Keyboard, Saitek Yoke, Saitek Throttle Quadrant and Saitek Rudder pedals. This I have been able to restore easily enough by going into the controller settings in FSX and re-assigning them all. However I am left with a problem with my throttles (assigned to the Saitek Throttle Quadrant). When the levers on the quad are in the Idle position, the throttles in FSX are still at 10% power. When the levers on the quad are in the full position, FSX is only giving me about 80% power. I've tried wriggleing the the levers around, moving the throttles in FSX with the mouse, going into Settings and re-calibrating my Throttle Quad, rebooting - all to no avail. If anybody has any ideas I'm well open to suggestions please.
  6. Monitor Choice

Well I've just gone out and committed a lot of 'hard earned' to a whole new computer for FSX. A custom built job with all the Nvidia bells, Corsair whistles, and flashing Red lights. Should be a cracking new toy that will give me hours upon hours of FSX fun and even more enjoyment of OzX paints and scenery. The only question I'm now stuck with is what Monitor to pair it all up with? Has anyone purchased a Monitor recently that they could reccomend for the task?? I currently have a 24" Benq, but would like to go up to something in the 30" range. Look forward to hearing all your thoughts.
  7. Success!!! I tried the Torrent method last night. Set it to download overnight and "hey presto" this morning I was able to UnZip and Install OZx3.5! Can't wait to get home tonight and go do some exploring of all the wonderful new environs. A big thanks to Scott, Dieter, and Brue E for all your help. Really appreciate it guys
  8. Thanks for the assistance Fellas. I always use Internet Download Manager for all file downloads. Have never had any problems downloading Scenery or Repaints from OZx before. Nevertheless, I just tried again with Internet Download Accelerator (as per Scott's suggestion), but to no avail - same problem. WinZip and WinRAR fail to extract. 7Zip manages the Installation Instructions and Library.exe, but the OZx_AUS_v3.5.exe is a "File is Broken". After the attempted extract I get a default icon for the files, and clicking on it lauches the installer, but again at 6% it fails indication the 11FD error code.
  9. Hi All, Really looking forward to having this loaded up and exploring all the awesome work. When I attempt to Extract my Download using either WinZip or WinRAR both refuse to unzip the OZx_3.5 installer claiming it is a broken or currupted file. Using 7-Zip I can Extract all the files but when running the OZx_3.5 installer it gets 6% into the installation before it stops again indicating a corrupted file and giving an error code of "11FD". I've tried downloading with IE, Mozilla, Chrome - no difference. I've cleared all my caches repeatedly - still same result. Please help
