  1. What are you working on?

    Thanks I'm only looking to create it as either an AI bus or AI vehicle, so I'd only need to model the exterior somewhat low poly. I haven't modeled from scratch in years so I figured I'd model a bus I don't really like (no offense to anyone who does really like the CB80) that I can finish it quickly and relearn some stuff on the way. STA are about to receive their first batch of Euro 6 Optimus bodied buses (like in the picture below, except with Volvo B8RLE chassis not ones with Iveco Metro chassis such as in the picture that are already in service) and that's what I intend to create a standalone WIP thread for after I release this CB80. Photo credit: Showbus. Currently requesting permission from a couple of flickr users to use their photos in my VST project, figured out I might as well build all the modern Australian buses (their exteriors at least) so Manly doesn't look so devoid of native mechanical fauna. They've been converted to front, rear, left and right reference photos already which I suppose I might as well release as a free paper bus kit for everyone to enjoy while I work on my models.

    The problems with modelling is that it only takes an hour to get the basic shape right but it takes another three hours for you to fine tune everything and have it in a state you're happy with. Those three errors I've highlighted probably can't even be seen once this is UV unwrapped and textured, but I feel like fixing them anyways. Here's a reference of what the bus in real life looks like, I'm probably 10 hours away from finishing this model. Photo taken by fearness3488 on ATDB

    Hmm I wonder what I'm working on...
  4. OMSI Maps :: Bowdenham V4

    You can modify the ai list yourself if you can't find a similar one as a download here, the official forums or fellowfilms.
  5. View File Transport for NSW livery for Mercedes-Benz Citaro UK This is a fictional repaint for Lowlander21 and Helvete 3D Studio's Mercedes-Benz Citaro UK based off the real life "Transport for NSW" liveries found on State Transit of NSW buses. A Readme file is included which covers most of the frequently asked questions. Update 1.10 due tomorrow will add the articulated O530G "Transport for NSW" Skin Update 1.20 due next Sunday will add a more STA-esque interior, such as yellow interior poles, yellow stop buttons, seating fabric pattern, etc. Update 1.30 due on the 21st of April will add variants of the TfNSW livery with various advertisements, such as full rear ads, side ads. Update 1.40 due on the 28th of April will add an optional Manly-specific ticket machine texture That is all the planned development of this so far. 6. What are you working on?

    EDIT: First skin released I just noticed the HafenCity addon existed, and wow maybe I still have some interest in this game after all. The bad news is that I upgraded to a 5K iMac last year, and all the model files I've made previously were lost because I forgot to back them up before selling my old PC. The good news is that I have access to 3ds Max 2017 now and it is much easier to use than what I used before, so it should be possible to develop models faster. That being said, I don't feel like making any NSW specific models anymore, the way the government handles bus transport here makes my blood boil. Gathering reference material for a Volvo B5RH with a Volvo i-Shift transmission, Volgren Optimus bodywork - the goal is to make it a faithful replica of Brisbane Transport's 1595. It's only 11.5m long so it will just fit into the tightest of Sydney bus routes which saves me the effort of having to make a 11m VSTM as well if I were to make a full-size 12.5m bus. It'll take a while to do, as I'm studying two degrees atm (Psychology Honours and Business Administration) and I'm not guaranteed to make progress every week at all. I'll also be working on some NSW themed reskins for Lowlander21/Helvete 3D Design's UK Citaro due to be released every fortnight. The first skin (O530 rigid) has been released, the articulated (O530G) version will be released tomorrow as an update to the original file.

  9. Apologies for leading the topic astray, but there's an E400 with a Transport for NSW out there?! Would someone please point me to the right direction ?
  10. What are you working on?

    Yes they are modeled in SketchUp. The only things I can model well in Blender so far are items of furniture and a collection of small items (like wine glasses, coke cans and spoons & forks & sporks) etc.
  11. OMSI Maps :: Manly ACT ONE

    It sounds to me like a clearance issue with the bus you're using, not an issue with the map itself.. So if you can't raise that bus, its time to choose a different one.
  12. What are you working on?

    Apologies to all the people who were waiting for progress on my MarkV project...and then were let down. School got ahead of me for the past 9 months (choosing one of the top 10 selective schools in NSW wasn't a very good idea, now that I look back onto it - there's too much stress on everyone of their students to perform). So here are a couple of screenshots of the vehicles I'm working on as compensation; [RHD] Sydney Buses' Mercedes-Benz O405NH CNG CC "Citaro" (I know I still have to fix up its front desto header, which looks pretty generic and low detailed) [RHD] Sydney Buses' Scania K280UB Bustech VST (Its A/C pod is only there while I find some blueprints for the Cooltek A/C pod I need to model) I'll show some screenshots of the MarkV projects (MB O405 & MAN SL202) later this week, along with the new fearsome 11m buses rolling out of Bustech's factory - dubbed the "MarkV killer". (There isn't much left to do in that project, apart from placing the dashboard, finishing off the driver's cab area and placing the appropriate poles in the right place - and then the models would be exported in pieces to Blender, to begin its new life in OMSI). Also, by the end of the week, if anyone happened to need 11R22.5 size Alcoa rims for their project, I'll happily send them over if you let me know by then. Cheers.
