  2. MARCH 10 2018 For all P3D users , here is the OZx P3D Animated Windsock installation thread , all info and updates will be posted here and dated. The process starts (if you do not already have it ) with the installation of SODE (Sim Object Display Engine) obtained from here ...https://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=9# please be aware that SODE is licensed material under a Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License. once installed to the default location(recommended) you will have the following folder structure in your PC... C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\Simobjects The folder OZx_Windsocks should be placed here, this folder contains all the SimObjects required by the OZx windsocks released . There are white and orange windsocks , a pole and a dark platform surrounded by 15 white cones as per the regulations. This folder is here to download ., and will be updated as the models change. (OZx_Windsocks.zip ) C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\xml All the .xml files used to create Windsocks are to be placed here. they indicate the type of windsock , the pole and most important the location of the windsock. note ONLY .xml files go in here. The current availability of windsocks is in the file xml.zip available here . There are other files and folders but are not relevant to this installation and should not be changed in any way. From now on any new release of windsock will be done in this post , so keep an eye on it and review it frequently as we are creating windsocks weekly. NOTAM IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL CURRENT USERS OF OZX WINDSOCKS You would have the current SODE structure in place , the only change you have to make before adding the OZx_Windsocks folder to C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\SimObjects is to DELETE from the folder the two old Simobject folders named OZx_WS_Or and OZx_WS_Wh, ( they have been consolidated into one). Anything you add to the C:\ProgramData\12bPilot\SODE\xml is OK and can be overwritten. This post is to be locked . Any questions or support should be via a post in the OZx Support Forum Section. Thank you and Safe Flying!! Jorge xml.zip OZx_Windsocks.zip

@Andrew , there is only ONE XML folder inside SODE... and that is the one where all the WS are..the SODE Folder structure is SODE Folder >inside two folders XML and Simobjects (there may be other files and folders but for WS to show that's all you need. Dieter , you say white banding , there are white cones at the WS place..and here is the placement statement in the XML file. <Placement Lat="-19.638780" Lon="134.181971" Alt="0.0#AGL" Hdg="0.0"/> (to get decimal degrees in the sim do this in prepar3d.cfg [MAIN] LatLonFormat=Degrees FractionalLatLonDigits=12 change to that and restart the SIM. Jorge

  12. Good one thommoj , you can put both in one single say 407.mcro as [MACROS] 1=L:collectiveRPMGrip=dec 2=L:collectiveRPMGrip=inc Jorge
  13. Dear friend , there is a BIG snag , the CollectiveRPMGrip Lvar name has 17 characters ... and FSUIPC... "Inside a macro file there should be just one section called [Macros]. This must contain definitions of numbered controls, with names also up to 16 characters. These names only have to be unique in that file." I tried this but .. [MACROS] 1=L:collectiveRPMGrip=0 2=L:collectiveRPMGrip=25 3=L:collectiveRPMGrip=90 4=L:collectiveRpmGrip=105 Jorge
  14. thommoj , let me find out and I will send you he file . I do not use FSUIPC but I have in the past.. it needs a macro written with the lvar .. Jorge
  15. great , remember if you go under 25% the engine will stop as there is no idle stop...I have a collective with a mechanical Idle stop/release Jorge
  16. Hi Guys , I have mapped the throttle to it using Spad.next , the situation is that you don't need a continuos axis on the throttle as the engine must runn at full all the time , the settings are OFF, Idle (for starting ) and full 90%.. Using the Lvar COLLECTIVERPMGRIP you should set it to 0 (OFF) , 25 (IDLE) , 90 (run) and 105 (max). You could do this with FSUIPC or as I do Spad.next . Jorge
  17. M11 Windsocks 06/04/2018 M_11.xml
  18. Thank you planG here ..M11.xml in OZx support Jorge VFR Narromine to Gulgong.plg
  19. Danny , it responds to the default AP controls so it would be easy...may be? Jorge
  20. Thank you, when I searched on GE I got the barren place , now I see. 29/03/2018 updated .M_10.xml in support thread Jorge ps : I wont be flying Friday , we are going on a family WE to Port Fairy (Ocean Road)...
  21. Craig , the name of the bgl means nothing to the SIM , it is only for you to know what it is and avoid duplication, the only file names that count are the texture files, they cannot be changed ( not without changing the model..) Jorge ps have updated M_10.xml and here is the flight plan.. VFR Bourke to Narromine.plg
  22. 29-03-2018 >>>UPDATE<<< M_10 windsocks M_10.xml
  23. Sorry , my google earth pro shows this ...also the .bgl name should be changed ch_YBYR_PR>bgl to avoid confusion (paticularly to me when I search for files by ICAO...)
  24. the PR or something is missing at Byrock...also GoogleE does not show a RW there..??
