Repaint of the LiAZ 5256.26 in Sheaf Line livery.
Following bus de-regulation in 1986, and in a bid to cut financial losses, South Yorkshire's Transport subsequently closed East Bank Garage in Sheffield in 1988. Following the closure, a group of former SYT drivers set-up Sheaf Line in September 1988 to compete on services with SYT. The new company was based in the former Tinsley Tram Sheds. Sheaf Line remained independent only until December 1989 when the operation was acquired (along with a handful of other independents) by SYT, who maintained the Sheaf Line trading name as a "low cost" operation. Sheaf Line was eventually absorbed into the Mainline fleet following the sale of Mainline Group Limited (the new SYT trading company name) to it's employees in 1993.
This Sheaf Line repaint is based on the SYT (early 1990's) ownership period.
This repaint requires "LiAZ 525626 v.1.00" to be installed.
