Download A2A P-47D 86th FG #47 'Dragon lady'

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-15-RE 42-25751 # 47 'Dragon lady', as flown by Dick Wiessner of the 526th FS/86th FG. His crew chief, sgt DeLuca, had started stripping the paint of the aircraft when it was decided camouflage was no longer needed, but Wiessner told him to forget the paint and concentrate on the engine. With succes, the aircraft survived the war without any problem, and later served in the French Air Force. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.
