Anthony Lynch Scenery

Here is where you can find all the wonderful scenery that Anthony Lynch has made.

17 files

  1. Ants Aussie IFR and VFR Waypoints

This download contains two files which contain data for all 1699 IFR and 971 VFR waypoints in Australian airspace (as listed in ERSA, 5 Jun 2008). These waypoints allow you to make better (more accurate) flight plans using the MS FS flight planner. The waypoints will appear in the flight planner as well as the default FS GPS. The files have been tested in FS9 and FSX.

  2. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 1: Snowy Mountains

This download contains scenery for FSX and includes a number of airports in and near the Snowy Mountains region of Australia. Most of the airfields contain photoreal backgrounds and these are designed to blend in with the payware FTX textures (available from www.fullterrain.com). It is therefore recommended that you have the FTX textures installed if you wish to see these airfields at their best. The 3D objects used are almost all custom made and represent the real world hangars and buildings as best as I can. Includes the following airfields : Cooma, Polo Flat, Tumut, Adaminaby, Khancoban and Geehi landing ground.

  3. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 2: New South Wales

This scenery contains 6 airfields found in NSW, Australia. They are Wilton, Wedderburn, Gundaroo, Casino, South Grafton and Evans Head. 5 of these airfields have photoreal ground textures and are therefore designed to work best with the payware FTX ground textures for Australia (www.fullterrain.com). It is therefore recommended that you have FTX Blue and FTX Gold installed to enjoy these fields at their best. 99% of the 3D objects are custom designed and are based on the hangars and buildings (as well as aircraft) you would find at the real world airfields.

  4. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 3: Melbourne Helipads

Here are 2 helipads which you can find floating on the Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne, Australia. The helipads have been custom modelled and are not boring old FSX library helipads. Note: these helipads require that you have the ORBX payware textures "FTX Blue" installed as well as the latest hotfixes (which flatten the river). FTX Blue redefines the coastlines and without them the Melbourne CBD looks pretty sad.

  5. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 5: RAAF Tindal / Katherine

Ants Aussie Airports Vol 5 : RAAF Tindal is a military base about 290kms south east of Darwin near the town of Katherine in Australia's Northern Territory. Tindal is a major front-line operational air base and home to No. 75 Squadron Air Combat Group (F/A-18). There is also a civilian apron in the north west corner of the airfield. This scenery contains photoreal ground textures and these are designed to blend in with the payware FTX textures (available from www.fullterrain.com). It is therefore recommended that you have the FTX textures installed if you wish to see this airfield at its best. I have tried to make this airfield as accurate as possible although as Tindal is a military base there aren't a lot of photos available so a lot of the hangars are "educated guesses". Almost all of the models have been custom made with the use of library objects kept to the minimum.

  6. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 6: Nothern Territory

This scenery contains 8 airfields all within 40NM of Darwin. All airfields have photoreal ground textures which are designed to blend with the payware FTX Green ground textures for Australia. 98% of the 3D objects have been custom designed. These fields make a great companion for my Darwin International scenery (DLID 132030). Includes the following airfields: Albany Park, Batchelor, Coomalie Creek, Crab Claw Is, Dundee Beach, Delissaville, Dum in Mirrie Is and Emkaytee.

  7. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 4: Darwin International

Darwin International airport is located in Australia's top end and as well as being an international and domestic airport it is also a RAAF military base and general aviation centre. With an 11000' main runway Darwin can handle some serious aircraft. This scenery contains 99% custom objects based on real world photographs of the airport where available (it is a military base remember). It also contains photoreal ground textures for the airport area. These textures have been designed to blend with the payware FTX Green textures for Australia. You should still be able to use this airport if you do not have these textures although results will vary from those shown in the screenshots. Also contains Royal Darwin Hospital helipad and the army helipads at Robertson Barracks.

  8. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 7: Central Queensland

Sick and tired of freeware airports with the same old library objects? This scenery includes Longreach, Barcaldine and Rockhampton airports. Each with custom made 3D objects, photoreal ground textures and custom made runway and taxiway markings (no more excuses for not finding the correct parking spot). The photoreal ground textures are designed to blend best with the FTX payware textures for Australia (Gold region) so it is highly recommended that you have these installed.

  9. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 8 : Patch 1.1

Sorry about the stuff up but this patch should fix the problem with aircraft sinking at Lady Elliot Island. It will also fix a minor problem with the custom runway lights at Bundaberg. It is therefore recommended that everyone who has downloaded Vol 8 install this patch.

  10. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 8: Bundaberg and Lady Elliot Island

This scenery includes 2 airports which are located in southern Queensland, Australia. The airports are Bundaberg and Lady Elliot Island. This scenery contains photoreal backgrounds and these are designed to blend in with the payware FTX textures (available from www.fullterrain.com). It is therefore recommended that you have the FTX textures installed if you wish to see these airfields at their best.

These airports feature custom 3D objects, photoreal ground textures as well as custom taxiway and runway markings.

NOTE: PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE ANTS AUSSIE AIRPORTS VOL 8 : PATCH 1.1. This will fix the problem that some people have had with sinking at Lady Elliot Island (the patch will be available soon).

  11. Ants Aussie Airports VOL 9 : Hamilton Island

Hamilton Island in the beautiful Whitsunday Islands is a popular resort destination. Virgin Blue and Jetstar fly regular flights from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to the island landing on the 1764m runway built on reclaimed land. Hamilton Island airport also is home to Hamilton Island Aviation which operate a number of helicopters offering scenic flights around the Whitsundays and to the Great Barrier Reef.

Photoreal scenery for the whole of Hamilton Island
Photoreal scenery for the whole of nearby Dent Island
Custom ground polys for an accurate runway, taxiways and apron
19m terrain mesh for most of the Whitsundays (resampled from the SRTM 90m mesh)
Custom 3D models for the airport as well as some of the resort buildings
    Golf buggies!

  12. Ants Aussie Airports Complete

This package includes the complete collection of Ants Aussie Airports Volumes 1 to 9. It includes 33 airports, airfields and helipads across Australia. Most of these airports include photoreal ground textures which are designed to blend best with the payware FTX textures. It is therefore recommended that you have these installed to see the airports at their best.

I have also taken the oppurtunity to make a few minor tweaks and nug fixes to the scenery since its original release as separate volumes. The most visible change is that Cooma, Tumut, Tindal and Darwin now have more accurate runway markings.

Here is a list of all the airports included:

    New South Wales and Victoria

    Tumut YTMU : GA airfield

  13. Ants Aussie Airports Boonah

For FSX SP2 with FTX Gold (probably not DX10 compatible).

Boonah is a small town about 70km SW from the centre of Brisbane and 70km W of the Gold Coast. Boonah airfield is a small, but busy, airstrip 2km south of the town of Boonah. It features a glider club and an ultralight club (the Flying Tigers). Airsport is a flying school and Scenic Rim Aviation provides scenic flights, flight training and charter.

This scenery models the airfield and provides about 9km square of photoreal ground textures. The photoreal is designed to blend with the FTX payware textures for Australia so it is recommended that you have these installed. Also recommended is the freeware OZx airfields which provides hundreds of airfields Australia wide, about 30 of which are within a 100km radius of Boonah.

  14. Ants Aussie Airports Brisbane

A fast framerate friendly freeware Brisbane airport for FSX. Designed with framerates in mind for those of us without the latest and greatest in computer hardware this freeware Brisbane features photoreal ground textures at 1m per pixel with 30cm per pixel used for the GA, Domestic, International and Logistics aprons with 20cm per pixel used for the runway ground polys.

  15. Ants Aussie Airports Roadvale

Roadvale is a small private airstrip a few miles north of Boonah. Sure, there's only a hangar and a windsock but what makes Roadvale fun is the runway, it has been cut through a ridge with the ends of the runway built up from a cutting made through the ridge. This scenery includes custom built objects based on photos taken from the airstrip as well as about 25sq km of fully annotated photoreal textures (see if you can find the old railway line).

  16. Ants Aussie Airports 13 Hamilton Vic

Hands up who likes awesome airports? Well this airport is pretty damn awesome so you're gonna want it aren't you?

The airport features custom made 3D objects based on photos of the actual airport with the only default object being one ladder. Approx 40 sq km of photoreal ground textures around the airport are also included.

Hamilton is located in western Victoria close to the Grampian Mts. The airport has a sealed and lit main runway with a gravel cross runway. Regular passenger services to Adelaide and Melbourne are operated by Sharp Airlines with a fleet of Metros.

  17. Ants Aussie Airports 14 Ballina

Ballina, located on the Northern NSW coast, is a popular stopoff for tourists heading to Byron Bay which is located just 30km north of Ballina. The 1900m runway at Ballina handles Virgin (B737), Jetstar (A320) and Rex (Saab 340) daily flights from Melbourne and Sydney. This scenery contains highly detailed scenery for the airport as well as 100 sq km of photoreal covering the airport, Ballina township and the surrounding area.

The scenery comes in two parts so you will need to download each part, run the installers inside the download and then manually add "Ants Aussie Airports Ballina" to the FSX scenery library.
