OZx is a bunch of talented and dedicated scenery developers, aircraft painters and technical support crew who produce freeware scenery and freeware aircraft repaints for FSX. With an emphasis on small Australian strips and GA aircraft, our aim is to make 'low and slow' flying around Australia the best possible experience. Over the last couple of years we have produced more than 200 airstrips across the length and breadth of Australia, plus a number of scenery POI's to supplement VFR flying, also do not forget about our American and Italian sceneries. In addition the group produces aircraft repaints which specialise in Aussie registered aircraft and host more repaints from contributors.

Hi-Def 2048 Black Instrument Panel for Carenado C172N - Based on Real-World Photos by Bill Womack

Carenado's Cessna 172N is remarkably similar to the 172M that I did my primary training in. I was going through some of my old photos from several years back, and came across a set of cockpit pictures I'd taken in my trainer. They were good enough quality to use as a basis for a black panel to use in Carenado's bird, so I cooked them up and merged them into the original texture sheets.

This panel is designed as a replacement for the default white panel in any C172N repaint you might have. They're twice the resolution of the originals at 2048x2048 instead of 1024.

These are fictional repaints for the PMDG JS41 payware in Air Niugini colors.

Air Niugini operates Dash-8 (and others) in Papua New Guinea.

This package contains two different repaints, one corresponds to the current livery whereas the second one is an outdated one that I have only seen onto an Airbus A300-B4.

There is also a modified panel that allows to detach in a window both engines panel (shift-6) and/or speed cards (shift-7).

All instructions are included in the zipfile.

This Air Canada livery is fictitious as the airline fly Dash 8's and not Jetstreams, but the paint looks good on her and she fits the bill nicely for the cold zones.

Well,
My old mate Dave alerted me to the fact that you can't fly those J41's with the Ozzie rego's in ORBX's new PNW.
It just doesn't look right.
He was right.

But a Canadian North Airline Livery looks right at home! So here she is, in all her glory.
The rego is fictitious but the paint is close to the real Canadian North specs, I just added a little gradient on the body to spice her up.

Installation is via the Readme included in the zip.

BAE System's Jetstream 41 VH-PIN Qantas Airlines Pink Link Livery (Fictional)

This Pink Link livery is specifically manufactured for the PMDG BAE Jetstream 4100 for FSX.

This livery is of VH-PIN, manufactured by British Aerospace Systems and first flown on the 23rd November 1992, it has fast become a favoured aircraft of regional operators.

This livery was a joint initiative of Qantas and the Breast Cancer Council of Australia and was painted on a Qantas Dash 8.
I've adapted it to the J4100 and think that it wears the colours well.

If you like the paint and feel inclined, please make a donation to the Breast Cancer Council of Australia and maybe you'll save a life.

Well, I consider this one of the best paints I've done so far.

There are more hours of work in this paint than I want to admit. I first saw this bird in the War Museum in Ho Chi Mihn City, Vietnam, some 6 or 7 years back and have been back on a number of occassions and photographed it.
I visited it again, a month ago and at the same time, Carenado were releasing the 185F as one of their continuing Cessna range.

When I got home, I got to painting it. I decided that I'd spend some time on this one, so I did my research and turned up all sorts of things. This tempted me to go deeper and I ended up painting the interior to the 1969 era as well as dressing the pilot (complete with moustache) in dress of the day, 1969 USAF flying overalls, flying jacket, cap and shoes.

The interior was painted as per the USAF light aircraft paint schemes of 1969 with green primer dashboard, interior fuselage and roof.
Fascia panel was painted in a blue primer finish as well and the whole interior has been stressed and marked to give it a weathered "feel".

It's not perfect and I'm still learning, so excuse some of the imperfections.

All of the main texture sheets have been increased in size for enhancement purposes, so it is a rather large file, 35Mb, so be warned that the download could take a while.

It's a perfect aircraft for PNW as a lot of bushies know, so she won't look out of place flying around the countryside over there.

Installation is via the Readme file included in the zip. Please read it carefully as you need to also add the thumbnail so that it shows up properly in your FSX opening screen.
